About Me

About Heather

Heather has over ten years of counselling experience in the field of mental health. After completing her Master of Social Work at University of Toronto, Heather worked as a clinical Social Worker and high school Social Worker providing therapy and support for children, youth and families. In 2020, Heather began her study of biblical counselling through the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC) and Christian Counselling Education Foundation (CCEF) in order to learn to counsel from a Christian lens and worldview. Having a biblical perspective on how people change and how we make sense of pain and suffering has impacted her personally as well as helped shape her counselling practice. Heather has been married for 13 years and has four children. Heather lives in Georgetown, Ontario, and in her free time she can be found going for a run, baking, indoor climbing, and going on adventures with her family.
